25th Anniversary Trip to Prague, Czech Republic

May, 2015
Elizabeth and I decided to spend our 25th wedding anniversary in the romantic city of Prague. It was a wonderful setting with outstanding food, architecture, sights and sounds. The buildings in the background are called The Dancing House or sometimes referred to as Fred and Ginger. It's real name is the Nationale-Nederlanden building.

I was reluctant at first, but it turns out that covering a lot of ground on a Segway is a pretty good way to take a tour in Prague. The famous Charles Bridge is in the background. Construction began in 1357 and was opened in 1402.

The Lennon Wall in Prague has evolved from the 1980s through as an ever changing graffiti wall. Originally a way to protest communist rule, it continues as a symbol of love and peace. We saw musicians playing Beatles songs in front of the wall.

The Prague Astronomical Clock was first installed in 1410. It's the third oldest in the world and the oldest that is still operating. Crowds gather on the hour to watch it in action.
